Campus Café: Hands-on humanoids
Humanoid robots are technically ready for deployment, but their adaption in practice is still lagging behind. The challenge lies not in the technology itself, but in what is required to work with it effectively: people, the right skills, and the level of organizational readiness. During this Campus Café, we look beyond the hype and focus on the practical realities: what does your organization need to get started?
We kick off the session with Breman, a technical service provider that is actively advancing digitalization and robotics in practice. Drawing on first-hand experience, they will share where they see opportunities and where organizations encounter challenges when implementing new generations of robotics, such as humanoid robots. Next, experts from knowledge institutions including the University of Twente (Robotics Centre) and Saxion University of Applied Sciences (SMART Research Group) will provide insights into the skills, collaborations, and learning environments needed to get started. They will illustrate this with practical examples from the region. Finally, you will put these insights into practice. Working in small groups with experts, you will explore your own situation and identify a realistic first step for your organization.
