STREAMLINING PROCESSES, SOFTWARE, AND DATA

Processes and technology enable people to work more efficiently within an organization. However, these structures and processes evolve naturally over time, making them complicated or unfitting for the needs and ambitions of the organization. With Flawless Workflow, Geanny Amor dos Santos helps to align processes, software, and data within organizations so that the infrastructure supports the people.

The idea for the business arose when Geanny was doing an internship during her master's in Construction Management & Engineering at the University of Twente. “I wanted to focus on providing value and building bridges,” she says. “Instead, I was struggling with a lot of administrative work, software that didn’t work how I wanted to, and not being able to find the data I needed. As it was an internship, I didn’t know the organization well enough to know who to ask. So I did my work task by task - just doing as I was told - without knowing what the impact of my work was.” Yet, it didn’t stop her from experimenting. “I automated some of my work, which saved a lot of time and impressed my colleagues. It was quite simple, but the IT department had just been too busy and not familiar enough with the operational day-to-day processes to be able to develop it themselves. That’s when I knew there was a gap in the market.”

Enhancing the flow of information

Geanny found a co-founder in Alexander Habtezghi, who experienced the same issues. Together, they crafted the idea to perfection and registered the BV in 2021. She explains how Flawless Workflow works. “We have a methodology and frameworks of how people work. We look at a company or department's goals and what software they use. Does it fit their needs? How do their work and information flow? If there are any gaps or issues, we fix them. That could be done by simplifying and enhancing processes, changing and optimizing the digital landscape, or developing and deploying new IT solutions. For instance, a solution could be to develop a platform to centralize the information to a single source of truth and ensure the right people have the right access. However, the solution could also be integrations between existing software, AI solutions, or integrated web applications. First and foremost, it’s about making a company more future-proof and data-driven, which leads to healthier and happier employees.”

From START to GROW

Once the idea had latched itself into Geanny’s brain, she reached out to Novel-T and became one of the first members of Incubase. “At the beginning of starting your business, there is a lot to learn, and finding a community is difficult. Incubase was the first place we could go to as a company, which was great.” After a few years of working on her business, it was time to plan for growth. “We started the GROW Program, in which we got to share our challenges and ambitions with other businesses, and we learned a lot from them. It also gave us confidence to see that other successful entrepreneurs struggled with the same issues as we did. Shortly after the program, we opened our own office. We found the GROW program and Incubase to be great initiatives to support ideas and are happy to have been part of it.”

Opening the door to creativity and innovation

From their new home, the focus will be on becoming the Dutch market leader. “In the beginning, you really have to prove yourself. You have ideas, but you have to deliver. Now, when we explain what we do, it almost sells itself. Our work speaks for itself.” That’s how they continue to spread their mission to enable every organization to reach its goals, which can have a massive impact on the world, according to Geanny. “It’s like a domino effect. You can focus on reaching your goals if you’re not busy maintaining structures. This gives a lot more fulfillment and happiness. That, in turn, opens the door to being more creative and innovative. Imagine working in construction and not having to bother with administrative hassle. You’d have more room to think about how you could build more sustainably or faster, building more and better homes for people. And that’s just one area - imagine what we could do for business, health care, or education. If people enjoy their daily work, they can improve the world. This all can be done by building a supportive integrated IT landscape where the processes, the data, and the software free the people.”
