Roy Spit appointed as CEO of Novel-T and directory of University of Twente Holding
As of May 1, 2025, Roy Spit (50) will take on the role of CEO of Novel-T Foundation and Managing Director of University of Twente Holding (UTH). Roy Spit makes the transition from his position as Managing Director at Qredits Foundation, which he co-founded and developed into the market leader in loans for both start-up and existing entrepreneurs.
With his impressive career at Qredits, Roy is no stranger to creating impact through innovative entrepreneurship. Qredits shares a similar vision on entrepreneurship with Novel-T, focusing on entrepreneurs with coaching, training, and financial support. He was closely involved in the current TOP scheme at the University of Twente and in the establishment of comparable financial support instruments for innovative entrepreneurs, such as the Growth Accelerator of Oost NL. Additionally, he has gained extensive experience in stakeholder management at both national and international levels, building Qredits into the market leader in the Netherlands and the Dutch Caribbean.
At Novel-T and University of Twente Holding, Roy will work on realising new ambitions, both organisationally and strategically. "Exciting times lie ahead, requiring leadership, focus, and seizing growth opportunities. I look forward to working with the management teams of Novel-T and UTH to take the region’s innovation potential to the next level."
