Problem Statement

PLAEX is constantly advancing its technology and seeking to expand its research and development efforts. We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate student or recent graduate who is excited about sustainability, robotics, and AI, and enjoys hands-on tinkering.

Assignment Description

You will be responsible for researching innovative solutions for waste sorting, experimenting with new techniques, 3D printing prototypes, and assembling hardware and circuitry. In essence, we need someone with experience in product design, development, and manufacturing to contribute to the ongoing development of GARBY, our smart garbage bin. Your main focus will be improving the hardware by engaging in various R&D activities within the company.

Qualifications

-Must be based in or near Enschede

-Currently studying or recently completed at least a bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronic, Robotics Engineering, or a related field.

Required Skills and Experience

- Circuit board soldering

- Robotic hardware assembly

- Arduino/Raspberry Pi programming (C++, bash, Python)

- Experience with 3D printing and/or Advanced Manufacturing

Preferred Skills

- CAD Design (SolidWorks)

- PCB Design (EasyEDA)

- Hardware debugging

- Electrical plugging

- Prototyping
