Winners UT Challenge 2021
These are the winners in the categories Ideation, Prototype, and Startup!
The innovation competition ‘Entrepreneurial UT Challenge’ was won on Tuesday 8 June 2021 by the UT student teams of Clever worker (ideation), IbIlight (prototype), and Flux Robotics (startup). Two wildcards for the national final, the Dutch 4TU Impact Challenge, were also awarded to Flawless Workflow and Ibilight. Streepn’s idea won the audience award.
The exciting final was broadcasted via a live stream and various innovative ideas from UT students passed by. This includes rapid tests to detect diseases, a smart lamp to combat loneliness, and a method for efficiently organizing workflows.
The UT Entrepreneurial Challenge is an innovation and entrepreneurial competition, aimed at all students of the University of Twente. During this competition, they worked on their project in close collaboration with organizations and companies. With the help of coaching from business partners, workshops ranging from business plan to pitch, and an online speed date event by Novel-T, the students took their idea, prototype or start-up to a higher level.

SELECTION PROCEDURE AND NATIONAL FINAL
A total of 90 projects have registered for the UT Challenge 2021. After an interim selection, 20 finalists were eventually selected to participate in the (virtual) Grand Final. Two wildcards for the national Dutch 4TU Impact Challenge were awarded in the Grand Final of the UT Challenge. This national final is organized by the four technical universities (TU Delft, WUR, TU/E, UT). The winners will represent the Netherlands at Slush 2021 and present their ideas there.
Last year, Awaves – the AI DJ – won this final.
