Background information
Senz Interim has been creating balance within organizations between employees, processes, and systems for over 6 years. The success of Senz Interim consists of the fundamental use of knowledge and experience within educational institutions. They use creative ideas, relevant views and opinions, and clear convictions to build bridges that help realize ambitions. Senz Interim is developing a standardized Business Intelligence product. Basically, the product is multi-tenant, which means that maintenance, product extensions, and management should be relatively easy. The Business Intelligence product uses Azure, Tableau (SAML login via WordPress website), SQL Server, and a specialized middleware solution in which the ETL also takes place.
Assignment description
The assignment is to investigate which solution(s) are best for the business intelligence product, and then to make a design for this. Finally, depending on the results of the investigation, part of the solution can be developed within the assignment. The focus in product development has mainly been on expanding the dashboards and the data warehouse. Therefore, the solution should consist of a good rights/role structure and a way to make details in dashboards transparent only for specific customers or end-users. Senz Interim is looking for a solution to overcome the multi-tenancy-related aspects. Think about:
- User management (rights/roles, in/out of service)
- Role-based access control (RBAC)
- Auditing (have the correct access rights been granted)
- Checking actually effective rights
- Behavior dashboards based on login (functional)
- Row-level security controller
