MEDTECH HOTSPOT
The heart of the innovation cluster for medical technology is located in Enschede, at the innovation campus Kennispark Twente. In addition to the myriad spinoff businesses located at Kennispark, the University of Twente’s Techmed Centre and Nanolab are also just a stone’s throw away. Several Saxion lectorates and study programs form part of the innovation cluster, as does the ROC of Twente.

Connection with health care institutions
Under the banner of Vitaal Twente, the region’s two specialized clinical hospitals, Roessingh Research & Development and a number of other health care institutions collaborate on health care innovation projects. Within the Technologie Zorg Academie (TZA), participating health care institutions focus primarily on the awareness, adoption and acceptance of health care innovations.
