Every first Thursday of the month: Meetup Cybersecurity

Cyber incidents can have a huge impact on your organization. During the monthly Meetup Cybersecurity, we share knowledge and experiences to increase the cyber resilience of manufacturing companies.

Due to the increasing digitalization of the industry and the Internet of Things, more and more entrepreneurs are faced with cyber crime. For example by a phishing mail, hackers or by a supplier that is not well protected. In order to increase the cyber resilience of manufacturing companies in the (East) Netherlands and to build knowledge and a network around the theme cybersecurity, we organize the Meetup Cybersecurity every first Thursday of the month. It is not just only about preventing incidents; cybersecurity also brings opportunities. By working on cybersecurity and coordinating things properly within a chain, a powerful proposition will be created.

Program

The first meetup takes place on Thursday December 6, from 4:00pm – 6:00pm in building N of the High Tech Systems Park Hengelo. The theme is ‘the impact of a cybersecurity incident on your company’. Two inspiring speakers will share their knowledge and experiences with you:

Dr. Anna Sperotto, Assistant Professor University of Twente, takes you into the world of DDoS attacks.
Dr. Sylvia Barlag, Director Security Thales Netherlands, tells all about Cyber Business Incidents.

Afterwards there is an opportunity to network while enjoying a drink.

The meetups are for anyone who is interested in the impact of cyber incidents for the management of an organization and what you can do to prevent incidents. You get useful tips and meet colleagues in this field.
