The cybersecurity scan for the manufacturing industry: insight into your digital vulnerability
Internet of Things and Smart Devices: nowadays almost everything is connected to the internet or to each other. To keep up with the times and to maintain your right to exist, IT has become an indispensable element of business management for most companies. A consequence of the digital transformation is that criminals increasingly strike through the digital channels or that your employees cause a cyber incident dure to careless behaviour. Because the consequences are sometimes large, cybersecurity is becoming increasingly important.
Understanding your vulnerabilities is a first step to keep cyber incidents outside of our company. But where do you start? How do you find out where your company is vulnerable to disruption or manipulation of critical business processes? Which cybersecurity measures are necessary to be less susceptible to disruptions in the production process? And which laws and regulations must you comply with in the field of cybersecurity?
To answer these question, the Cybersecurity Center for the Manufacturing Industry (CCM) has developed a cybersecurity scan for companies in the manufacturing industry in collaboration with partners. During the Meetup of the 7th of November, we will share the results of the scan and you will discover the possibilities that the scan offers for your company.
The speakers of the meetup:
- Rard Metz of the Koninklijke Metaalunie will discuss the importance of cybersecurity within the manufacturing industry. Why is insight into your digital vulnerabilities important and what is the role of Metaalunie?
- Renato Kuiper from Tesorion has carried out a cybersecurity scan at various companies. He will share his experiences about the scan. He also addresses the questions: Where are entrepreneurs digitally vulnerable? and What are quick wins?
