We are organizing a second try-out of Campus Twente Café with the necessary precautions. An informal knowledge event where high tech Twente meets each other to share knowledge and inspiration. Find out which breakout sessions we’re organizing for you on September 24th and save your spot because there are limited spots available.

Campus Twente Café?

Campus Twente Café is a new format, so maybe you haven’t heard it before! It is an inclusive and new format for sharing knowledge initiated by the innovation hotspots in Twente and Novel-T. This format brings the innovation community together with breakout sessions about new technologies, innovative and international entrepreneurship, and connecting talent. Besides sharing knowledge, there is also room to get to know each other during an informal and free drink. This is your opportunity to enrich your network with interesting people. We’re still testing the format, and we want to officially ‘start’ in January 2021. Until then, you can join several try-outs on Thursday!

*You can join all the sessions via livestream

What do we have in store for you on September 24th?

We’re organizing multiple engaging breakout sessions in three hours. They are all part of the central theme. On September 24th, the theme is Industry 4.0. Some sessions are focused on hardcore technology while another focuses on business development. You can participate in one or multiple sessions.

4:00 – 7:00 pm | NETWORKING

The main focus of Campus Twente Café is sharing knowledge and getting connected. That is why you have the opportunity to network during the entire café. Meet scientists, students, tech professionals, and high tech entrepreneurs.

4:00 – 4.30 pm | GROUNDBREAKING IDEA? THIS IS HOW YOU CAN MARKET IT SUCCESSFULLY! 🌐

YOU CAN ONLY JOIN THIS SESSION ONLINE DUE TO MAXIMUM CAPACITY

20 to 30 percent of the companies aren’t able to pull off new ideas for services and products. How do you make your product innovation a success? How do you market new concepts? Novel-T is offering a new program based on the COIN-method. This method helps you step by step to go from idea to result. Learn more about this method and other ways to make a new business successful and make your company future proof.

4:30 – 5.15 pm | QUANTUM COMPUTING 🌐

Quantum Computing is the future! But what is it exactly, and what can you do with it? Jelmer Renema, CTO of Quix and researcher at the University of Twente, will tell you all the ins and outs. He will share the growth of Quix, a spin-off of the world’s first commercial quantum processor developed based on light. This session is interesting for the real high tech professional but certainly also for an outsider. Don’t let the technology scare you, but use it to your advantage!

4:30 – 5:00 pm | ELECTRIC SUPERBIKE TWENTE 🌐

YOU CAN ONLY JOIN THIS SESSION ONLINE DUE TO MAXIMUM CAPACITY

How will the Electric Superbike team of the University of Twente win the world title? Which technology and special tricks will they apply? And how will they – in times of Covid-19 – work together with their partners to create value? The old and the new team will be represented, and together with you, they will search for solutions to conquer the world title. Get to know the talent of the future and – who knows – we might be able to persuade them to stay in Twente!

5:30 – 6:15 pm | ADVANCED MANUFACTURING CENTER 🌐

Fraunhofer Project Center will reveal a new high tech innovation hub in 2021, the Advanced Manufacturing Center. The goal of this innovation hub is to showcase the latest developments within the manufacturing industry and to create significant technological improvement towards the industry of Twente. Join Biba Visnjicki and discover the vision that AMC has on the region and the unique possibilities it offers to be competitive as well as local as world wide. Use this opportunity to get the insights of Biba on the accelerated industrial revolution and ask questions that are important to your digitalization journey.

5:30 – 6:15 pm | WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DAMAGE OF A CYBER HACK? 🌐

*Spoken language is Dutch

More and more companies outsource services, especially related to digitalization. When these IT services are no longer managed by your organization but managed by third parties such as your IT partner, often there is a grey area of responsibilities. Who is liable when a cyber hack or a data leak occurs? What can you expect from your IT supplier, what are your primary focus points when choosing a third party, and what do you have to arrange yourself?  With the knowledge of Liesbeth Holterman and the practical examples of Daniël Prins of Secureme2, you will get all the tools you need to protect your company.
