De Twente innovation campuses and Novel-T have joined forces and developed a concept to bring together on content entrepreneurs, professionals, researchers and talent: Campus Café. Campus Café connects de Twente innovation community with breakout sessions on new technologies, innovative and international entrepreneurship and to engage talent. You will also have the opportunity to get to know each other during networking. You’re welcome to join on February 18!

Theme: To govern is to foresee

New year, new goals. Do you envision what you want to accomplish the upcoming weeks and can you visualize what and who you need? Visualizing and dreaming about the future is important to make it a reality. In this edition of Campus Cafe, we’re exploring the theme ‘To govern is to foresee’: from ruling the country to ruling the market.

3.30pm – 4.15pm | Breakout session 1: Technology deepdive with Xsens & 20Face

Two top tech companies will take you along in the world of their expertises in this technology deepdive. Edwin Hek from 20Face shares their world of facial recognition with the help of Artificial Intelligence and Igor Ikink of Xsens tells you all you need to know about motion capturing.

3.30pm – 4.15pm | Breakout session 2: Campus developments – Connect-U

The old hospital in the centre of Enschede undergoes a transformation to a funky city campus Connect-U, where living, working, learning and connecting comes together. We will show you how the transformation is going, what the plans are and what functionalities will be present in the building.

3.30pm – 4.30pm | Breakout session 3: So you think you can pitch?

Novel-T business coach and entrepreneur Peter Langela will show you how to give a strong pitch and how you maintain the attention of your audience. A couple of startups will pitch their idea at the end of the session, so you can give your feedback and ask questions.

4.30pm – 5.15pm| Breakout session 4: Politics café

With the upcoming elections, it’s time to see where we are right now. Different politicians from the VVD, ChristenUnie and CDA will discuss the economical themes that should be on the political agenda and which role Twente needs to play in it, led by Anne-Wil Lucas, former member of the Dutch parliament.
